Leadership Through Change.

Leadership Through Change.

Most people think leadership shows up when things are going well. When the team is winning. When the numbers look good.
When confidence is high. That’s not leadership. That’s maintenance.

Leadership shows up when things change. And they will! Because there’s a moment we all hit. Sometimes it’s loud. Something breaks, something fails, or something falls apart. But more often, it’s quiet. It’s that quiet moment where you’re doubting yourself, you’re not sure you’re enough for what’s in front of you, and maybe you feel alone too.

We’ve been sold this idea that leaders are confident all the time. They’re not. Real leaders do feel doubt, pressure, fear, and uncertainty but the difference is not what they feel, the difference is what they do next.

Right now, maybe you are going through changes. Sometimes they happen overnight. And you don’t get a vote in it! That’s where most people struggle, not because they aren’t capable, but because they weren’t prepared for the change. They were comfortable in the version of themselves that worked before. But leadership requires something different. It requires you to evolve faster than your circumstances.

So I ask you, right now, even if you don't feel ready or confident, what is an action you could make that would create positive momentum for you and for the people you lead?

You don’t need the confidence right now! If you do have it, amazing, use it! But right now, even if you don't feel confident as a leader, that is okay. It's perfectly fine! I just need you to act. I need you to truly think of what would be the best move for you and the people you lead, and then to act on it. Imperfectly, making mistakes, but still committed. Because as we do this, we are going to earn confidence, we are going to build momentum, and we are going to figure it out! We will learn from our missteps, course correct, improve and grow!

You act, then you believe. So, if you’re waiting to feel ready, you’ll be waiting a long time. Instead, let's take the step today!

Leadership is not a solo sport. It's a trap to think you have to do it alone. You don’t. In fact, the strongest leaders I’ve seen all have one thing in common: they surround themselves with people who challenge them, support them, and push them. Not just anyone. The right people. Because leadership grows faster in the right environment. And here’s the part that matters: you don’t need to be the most experienced person in the room. You need to be the most willing. Willing to: learn, ask , be uncomfortable and show up anyway! That combination is powerful.

The question is: What kind of leader are you choosing to be? Because the world will keep throwing challenges, pressure, and change. That part doesn’t stop. But neither do you. If you commit, if you grow, if you team with amazing people, you will be unstoppable.
